We believe ...
- We believe in one Creator, God, who reveals Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins, and that He rose from the dead physically and returned to heaven.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit as God, and that He reveals our sin to us, and that He is able to fill our lives with God's love.
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired and relevant word of God.
- We believe that all people have sinned and need God's grace and forgiveness, available to all people because of Jesus' death on the cross.
- We believe that God calls people to love Him but the decision to respond to Him is ours.
- We believe that each individual must repent and trust Christ to receive forgiveness and eternal life.
- We believe that as Christians we need to offer our whole lives to God so that He might cleanse our hearts from the attitude of sin (called
Sanctification).
- We believe that when we surrender ourselves to God completely, His spirit will change us so that His love will be reflected in our attitudes
and actions, and that He will give us power to live an unselfish and abundant life.
- We believe that the Church is to be a Christian community, and is to model Christ's ideals in the world.
- We practice the sacraments of Christian baptism and the Lord's supper.
- We believe that God can heal a sick person miraculously but we do not discount the value of medical science.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return to the earth some day and that this event will mark the close of human history as we know it.
- We believe in both heaven and hell, and that each person chooses his own destiny.
